WMU Career Fair
Date: February 8th
Time: Multiple shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM
Event Location: East Ballroom in the Bernhard Center
Instructions: Attire for this event is business casual. Students interact closely with recruiters by helping them to their booth and assisting them with setup. This is a great opportunity to wear your BAP polo if you have one, but if not feel free to wear any other business casual outfit.
Examples of tasks you may be assigned: Greet employers and direct them to the employer check-in area. Help them carry displays to their tables. Assist employers with their display units as they set-up their booths, and assist with tear-down. Help students make their name tags and collect them as they leave.
Notes: This is a great opportunity to practice speaking with HR professionals about yourself in a career fair setting. Students will be assigned positions in the week before the event. If you are assigned to help employers unload and carry their materials, you are encouraged to wear one set of clothes and bring another to change into before entering the fair as a job seeker. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes that you can walk around the fair in.
