General Assembly Meeting
This week we will be meeting at Revel & Roll on Stadium Dr. for our social event. This is a required event. Please dress casually. Dinner will be provided at Revel & Roll.
Tutoring
All candidates are required to complete 2 hours of tutoring every week throughout the semester. Tutoring will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Schneider Hall room 1280.
TRiO Presentations
The Diversity Committee has set up three time slots for us to speak to first generation students in the TRiO Program. The goal of these presentations is not to promote Beta specifically, but to speak about the benefit of joining an RSO in general. We need 2-3 people that are able to present in 10-minute slots at the beginning of these classes:
Pizza with Plante
Plante Moran will be in the Dean's Conference Room on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 12:15-1:30 p.m. This event is to inform students about Summer Leadership opportunities at Plante. While this event is not related to Beta, it is a great networking opportunity.

**All volunteer opportunities for this semester are posted here. There will not be more added.** Regionals
We had many people express interest in attending, unfortunately there are a limited number of spots available. If you have expressed an interest in going, we will keep you updated with any decisions.
Dow Corporate Accounting Event
Dow Chemical has made it possible for 15 students to visit them in Midland, MI to learn about corporate accounting. They prefer students that are classified freshman-junior. The event is Friday, March 22, 2019 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and transportation will be provided from Haworth College of Business.
More information is available here. Sign up to apply for this event here. **March 22 is also the date of the Mock Interviews that are required of Beta participants. This event, however, will take place of our event. This is not a make-up for any other missed event.** |
